Superb rural/quiet location with stunning mountain views Owner Julie & daughter Lucy were so welcoming to the unique Hayloft - you stay upstairs and they live downstairs. Unique building in a quiet rural spot in Wanaka (which can be very busy at high season). A lovely stay here which was too short - it was a wrench to leave! Thanks again - Paul & Alison

Great accomodation close to Lake Wanaka We spent three nights at this wonderful location. The self contained flat offers a lot of space and two balconies . The owners are really friendly and helpful and provide great stuff for breakfast. The homemade bread was the best bread we had in NZ.

Relaxing views of the snow-capped peaks The Hayloft is just 10 minutes outside of the Wanaka village on a lovely property facing north towards the lake and mountains in the distance. You can sit on one of the two balconies, enjoy local wine and cheese and listen to the birds. The building is made of straw bales and maintains a comfortable temperature. It has a serviceable kitchenette, full bathroom with shower (no bath) and a lovely bedroom with a south-facing balcony for morning sun. The owners are quiet and friendly.

Wunderschön und friedlich. Wir waren im Hayloft schon zum 2. Mal und es war,wie beim letzten Mal, sehr schön. Die Wohnung,im schönen Strohhaus,ist gemütlich und die Gastgeber sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Alles was man zum Kochen braucht ist ausreichend vorhanden. Die Wohnung ist liebevoll eingerichtet. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt,in Gegensatz zum lebhaften Wanaka ist es hier sehr ruhig. Wir kommen wieder

Beautiful and peaceful We stayed just overnight but really enjoyed ourselves. Huge apartment with stunning views from both lounge and bedrooms. Everything for our breakfast was delicious,especially the warm freshly baked loaf! Cosy beds and lovely toiletries made this a place to remember

Unusual great place Well this place was so different from anywhere else we have ever stayed. Just a few minutes drive from Wanaka. So peaceful. Just the sheep as neighbours. John, Julie and Lucy are such warm hosts and so helpful. John suggested great walks and also provided us with good breakfast provisions. We really felt at home here. Great place.

特别棒的住宿体验，绝对值得 地址在闹中取静的瓦纳卡，离小镇开车5分钟距离，好处是睡觉很安静又能享受牧场特别的生活，牧场动物丰富，随处可见。John非常专业，他的建议� �于Rob Roy登山非常管用，� �于一场可能的交通事� ，由于提醒两次，我们才非常注意。John对于早餐非常讲究也很大方，都是美味又丰富的食物，以至于我们早上6点起来做早餐。浴室用品也高级，所有的餐� �，浴室和卧室用品应有尽有。整个住处有三个房间，非常宽敞，而且房间设计很合理又有当地的设计感，对于城市人来说很特别。不一样de体验，绝对值得尝试

Perfect location with views What a wonderful spot... Greeted with a welcoming note pinned to the door and a large friendly cat... And what a great little place - not that little actually! John came and gave us some info and then we had excellent privacy. Very easy to drive into town from here. All in all an excellent spot and the hayloft itself is beautiful. One thing we noticed was that it was very windy (I mean REALLY windy) - which made a bit of noise. But it didn't spoil a beautiful place (oh and the bed was VERY comfortable- hard to get out of it in the morning!

羊の声を聴きながら、満点の星空を眺める ヘイロフトは、ワナカの湖から３キロくらい離れたところにあります。広い敷地の２階建ての素敵なおうちの２階部分を丸ごと借りらます。クリスマスに滞在したのですが、ニュージーランドでは、１２月２５日はほとんどのお店が閉まってしまうので、予約の際にジョンさんが夕食をどうするかなど親切に相談にのってくれました。チェックインすると、リビングにはクリスマスツリー、ダイニングテーブルの上にはサンタクロースのチョコレートやフルーツ、ジュリーさん手作りのタルトなどが。温かいおもてなしに、おうちに招かれたような気分になれました。２階部分にはバルコニーが２か所あり、一つはブランコやトランポリンの置いてある庭に面していて、もうひとつは羊の放牧場に面しています。ジョンさんに「星が見たい」と相談すると、「放牧場のゲートを開けて自由に出� �りしていいよ」とのこと。暗くなるのを� って、すぐ近くにあるゲートを通って中に� �ると、息をのむような満点の星空が広がっていました。時折、少し離れたところから聞こえる羊の鳴き声も微笑ましく、時を忘れて星を眺めていました。レジャーシートとかもっていけば、寝転がって星空観賞会ができそうです。キッチンには２口の簡易電磁調理器と電子レンジ、湯沸かしポット、冷蔵庫などの設備があり、breakfast provisions(プラス＄３０）を注文しておけば、朝食を自炊できます。大人二人で� 分なボリュームの食材～（その時は）パン１斤、スモークサーモン、ヨーグルト、バター、ジャム、卵４個、牛乳１L、シリアル、コーヒー、� 茶～が用意してありました。チェックアウト前で親たちが荷造りをしている間、５歳の息子は、ジョンさんに遊んでもらって大喜び。４歳のお嬢さんがいらっしゃって、一緒に遊� �やおもちゃで遊ばせてもらい、出発の際には子連れにお勧めの観� �スポット（パズリングワールド）や、ワナカの湖の恐竜の滑り台がある� �園など教えてもらいました。お部屋は� 潔で� 心地よく、アットホームなヘイロフト。小さな子供のいる家族連れにもお勧めです。ただし、日本語は通じません(^^;)

A Wonderful Retreat Wanaka is an excellent base all year round for skiing, hiking and adventure activities in the area. The Haylof is an ideal place to relax and enjoy the many options that the area offers - just make sure you book long enough as it is hard to leave. Self contained and private, with a lovely views and generous and gracious hosts, the Hayloft has a country feel yet is close to the action. As a guide, John is knowledgeable about the area and can recommend activities and tracks. This is our third visit and know there will be more.

Unique Straw Bale Luxury

The Hayloft really was built from straw (which came from our neighbouring paddock). However unlike the straw house in the three little pigs, we can assure you there is no chance of it blowing over! Strawbale construction creates amazing solid character with thick uneven walls and a low carbon footprint. Strawbale also provides fantastic insulation which means your apartment will be warm in the winter and cool in the summer. MORE »
